This is Mumbai's first building project to use the top-down construction technique, with the top slab and peripheral work completed first, followed by lower floor slabs and ground. In the second stage, the core area was reinforced from bottom to top, including shuttering, concrete reinforcement, anchor grouting, and so on. Because the site was in a highly dense commercial fort area, space was limited; therefore, the above methodology was used to avoid congestion. Volta's house in Ballard Estate was restored in six months under the technical supervision of M/s New Consolidated Construction.
